What is X0 Founder's Edition?

Is X0 less secure since it's more affordable?
No. X0 runs on the same security standard as X1, Shamir's Secret Sharing, splitting your key into 5 shards where any 2 unlock your wallet. Affordable describes the form factor and price, not the security. One security standard, you choose your way to own.
Which chains and tokens does X0 Founder’s Edition support?
X0 supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, and 50+ EVM compatible chains, covering over 22,000+ tokens. If you need non-EVM support like Solana or ICP, we recommend Cypherock X1, built on the same security standard with wider chain coverage.
My phone has malware. Can someone steal my key share?
No. Your key share lives inside your phone's Secure Element, isolated from its operating system, apps, and anything running on it. Malware can see what's on your screen, never what's inside the Secure Element, so your shard stays out of reach.
What happens if I lose or upgrade my phone?
Your phone's Secure Element cannot export its key share to another device, that's a deliberate security feature. Use any 2 of your 4 X0 Cards to restore your wallet on your new phone, which generates a fresh phone share automatically.
What happens if I break or lose my X0 Card?
If your X0 Card is broken or lost, your funds stay safe as long as you have your phone plus 1 X0 Card, or 2 X0 Cards. We recommend buying a new set and replacing them, since adding new wallets needs all 4.
What happens to my crypto if Cypherock shuts down?
Nothing happens to it. X0's recovery already lives on your phone and cards, not on our servers, so it was never dependent on Cypherock staying in business. Our software is open source too, keeping access to your wallet entirely in your hands.
Which phones are compatible with Cypherock X0?
Cypherock X0 requires an NFC enabled smartphone running iOS 15.1+ or Android 7+, with the X0 wallet app installed.
Can I buy an extra set of X0 Cards separately?
Yes, you can buy an extra set of X0 Cards from our store. Your phone can be re paired with the new cards at any time, so you're never limited to the set you started with.
